While I was at BookExpo America in DC, I met up with and interviewed Tee Morris, co-author of Podcasting for Dummies.

In this interview, Tee talks about how to use podcasting to promote yourself, your business or your clients. This is one of THE most powerful uses of podcasting. There are some great insights to be gleaned from our chat.

As someone who works in publishing (see http://www.CeciBooks.com), I’ve been watching the podcasting phenom building support for the past few years. It’s fascinating to hear Tee Morris’s account of podcasting an entire novel, chapter by chapter. Some of my clients will be thrilled by this possibility.

I’ve been so impressed with the potential for Internet community-building through podcasting that I now host a monthly podcast interviewing people about their spiritual experiences (see http://www.SacredVisitations.com). The SV Podcast is intended to build community around the spirituality book and AudioCourse, Sacred Visitations: Gifts of Grace that Transform the Heart and Awaken the Soul, as well as workshops that help people understand and make the most of those experiences of grace. And because Sacred Awareness Inspires Noble, True Service, on every Sacred Visitations podcast we give a brief plug for a Featured Philanthropic — this month it’s Heifer International. Next month it’ll be NRDC.org.

Great interview, Jason! I enjoyed hearing the history of Tee’s experience which serendipitously launched his career as a Dummies book author. Amazing story.

I love your past shows. YOu have a unique way of sounding like you know what you are talking about while not floating your own boat. Tee Morris, on the other hand, is really full of himself.

It was obvious by the way he dominated the conversation, that he was really more interested in promoting himself than anything else. It was ironic that he would talk about how some podcasts are too into promoting the host.

I have listened to his Dummies Podcast for a while, but after hearing this one, I think I am done with him!

    Keep up your views though!

    Thanks,

    Michael
